Recent New Canaan Baseball/Softball Inc. game results are as follows:

Bantam 7 

Navy Seals 17,   Army Rangers 17 In a Tuesday night slugfest under the lights at Mellick Field, the Navy Seals and Army Rangers fought to a 17-17 draw.

The Rangers scored 7 in the top of the first thanks to the hot bats of Chris Luchette, Dylan Murray and Ryan Werneburg, who each slammed three hits on the day.

Justin Higgins snared a sky high fly ball to end the Ranger threat in the1st.  Along with Higgins, the Seals defense was led by Charlie Mehos and William Schneider, both of whom turned-in outstanding defensive performances.

Navy brought the lumber in the third, paced by the big sticks of Robbie Hellman and Alex Howe. But Army’s Michael Sanseverino and  Matt Wronski were up to the task, recording the final outs to preserve the draw.

Green Berets  10, Navy Seals 10

It was a great game on a balmy Monday night under the lights between the Green Berets and Navy Seals. The two teams battled to a 10-10 tie.

The Green Berets were aided by the timely hitting of Matthew Axon and Trey Hartnett. Brendan Keogh also hit well and helped ignite the offense. Ned Brady made a great defensive play at third base and Joey Mallozzi contributed to a strong defensive effort.

Coach Stephen Mehos had his Seals firing on all cylinders with strong contributions from Ty Groff, Jared Kramer and Ian Wearing on offense. The Seals' staunch defense was led by Nick Deligtisch and George Mulry.
