“Parents, students and teachers agree knowing how to study offers the pathway to academic success in school. We are thrilled to host the S4 program at New Canaan High School so that all students may benefit,” said Michelle Sagalyn, president of Successful Study Skills 4 Students.

Essential Study Skills for High School Students will be held Saturdays on Feb. 27, March 5 and March 12, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This workshop will teach students evidence-based and easy-to-implement strategies and systems to be active, engaged and successful in school.

Students will learn how to study, organize, manage time, prepare for tests and use executive functioning strategies - essential skills for today's academic rigor. The workshop is limited to 15 students. The 7.5-hour three-session workshop is $395. It includes all in-class materials, including that for at-home support.

For more information, go to their website. The S4 program is founded on educational research and evidence-based studies.

Its highly interactive approach is designed to clearly demonstrate how to apply students’ own curriculum and course material to the taught methodologies and systems.

The workshops are taught by experience teachers. Each class is limited to 15 students.
