NEW CANAAN, Conn. Successful Study Skills 4 Students and St. Lukes School will host winter study skills workshops for middle and high school students throughout the area. The sessions will be held over three consecutive Sundays on Jan. 29, Feb. 5 and Feb. 12. Each workshop will be held from 2 to 4:30 p.m. at the St. Lukes campus on North Wilton Road.
The S4 program is founded on educational research and evidenced-based studies and is taught by accredited teachers. In a highly participatory and dynamic presentation, students will learn 10 easy-to-implement skills essentials for successful learning and studying. Those skills include goal setting, time management, note taking methods, the importance of asking questions, active reading strategies, understanding main ideas and important details, using pictures and graphic organizers, summarizing to learn, notebook organization, and quiz, test and exam preparation strategies.
Class size is limited to 15 students. The workshop fee is $395.
