NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- The annual food drive is underway at New Canaan High School this week as students make sure families in need have a good dinner this Thanksgiving.

Students are asking for the public to help out in the food drive by bringing a turkey or monetary donations to New Canaan High School from 6:45 to 10 a.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.

Turkey should be frozen and weigh 17 to 20 pounds.

Donations in the form of checks will also be accepted. A check should be made out to the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County. Donations can also be mailed to NCHS Foodbank Volunteers Club, 47 Stonehenge Drive, New Canaan, CT 06840.

All donations benefit the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County to help families in need.
