Former New Canaan High Educator Connecticut Teacher Of The Year

NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- Former New Canaan High School teacher John F. Mastroianni was named the 2014 Connecticut Teacher.

Mastroianni, who is currently the band director at Hall High School in West Hartford, was honored in a ceremony Tuesday at ceremony at his school in front of his students, the Hartford Courant reported.
