Joe Scarborough will be the evening’s special guest speaker. Scarborough is a New Canaan resident and former U.S. Congressman (R-Fla. 1994-2001). He currently is a Co-host of MSNBC’s Morning Joe and a New York Times best-selling author of "Rome Wasn’t Burnt in a Day" and "The Last Best Hope: Restoring Conservatism and America's Promise." His most recent book release is "The Right Path: From Ike to Reagan."
He was named in Time magazine’s prestigious list of “The 100 Most Influential People,” and was named in Vanity Fair’s “Top Media Power Players” in 2012.
This year’s honorary co-chair of the Lincoln-Reagan Dinner will be state Sen. Toni Boucher and her spouse Henry Boucher. Boucher is serving her fourth term representing the 26th Senate District, following a career in the State House of Representatives.
The Lincoln-Reagan Dinner is the primary fundraising event for the New Canaan Republican Town Committee, providing money to help elect Republican candidates in municipal elections and encouraging the appointment of Republicans to town committees and commissions. The event also serves as the annual meeting of New Canaan Republicans and is attended by many distinguished guests. It promises to be a memorable event.
