New Canaan voters will choose between candidates in a number of races, including for the state House of Representatives and the State Senate, as well as decide between Tom Foley and Dannel Malloy for governor, and between Jim Himes and Dan Debicella for U.S. representative.

Voters who are not registered still have a chance to vote by showing up at the Registrars of Voters office at 237 Elm St., between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m., said Democratic Registrar of Voters George Cody.

He said voters have to be U.S. citizens and have to have proof of New Canaan residency.

As long as they get to the office by 8 p.m. they will be able to cast their vote, he said.
