New Canaan Town Council To Hear From Public Wednesday

NEW CANAAN, Conn. — Are you hoping New Canaan keeps funding a certain town initiative? Do you want the town to cut something? If so, tell the New Canaan Town Council at its public hearing Wednesday night.

The town’s Board of Finance approved the spending plan at $132.07 million for the fiscal year set to begin in July. The plan would be about $6.5 million more than the current budget.

The public hearing will start at 6:30 p.m. and take place at the New Canaan Nature Center, 144 Oenoke Ridge.

The town council is scheduled to approve the spending plan April 9.
