A 20-year-old woman from Fairfield County was arrested after being found with drug paraphernalia and a stun gun during a traffic stop in New Canaan, police said.

Westport resident Alexia Paris Vickers was stopped shortly before 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26, on Main Street, when an officer spotted her with a defective headlight in New Canaan.

Police said that during the subsequent traffic stop, the officer detected the smell of burnt marijuana coming from the vehicle, prompting a search of Vickers and her vehicle.

During the search, police found marijuana, a digital scale, a metal grinder, $200 in cash and a stun gun.

Vickers was arrested and charged with illegal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle, possession of a controlled substance and use and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was processed at New Canaan Police Headquarters and released. Vickers is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, Nov. 7.
