An New Canaan Police officer patrolled the area of Fieldcrest Road on Friday, March 15 to attempt to identify a suspect who had allegedly opened an AT&T account in the victim's name and purchased three iPhones for a total of $3,000, which were due to be delivered by FedEx.
The officer observed a vehicle around 11 a.m. that had expired New Jersey license plates.
The officer initiated a motor vehicle stop and identified the driver as 26-year-old Edinson Rodriguez of Cliffside Park, New Jersey, police said.
