Police Investigating Overnight Car Break-Ins In New Canaan

NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- New Canaan police are investigating the report of a stolen vehicle and a car break-in overnight on East Avenue, according to the NCAdvertiser.

New Canaan Police said they have received several reports of car break-ins and one report of a stolen car.

In addition, police said they have received reports from residents on Jelliff Mill Road, Brushy Ridge Road and Glen Drive of their vehicles being burglarized with several items being stolen, said the NCAdvertiser.

The car owners also reported to police that it smelled as if someone had been smoking inside their cars, added the NCAdvertiser.
