She is 22-year-old Annamarie Ceci of Norwalk.
Ceci participated in the force’s recruitment process for the title of Entry Level Police Officer. She was one of 79 applicants considered candidates for the position.
She completed what police say was an “intensive training and selection process,” comprising a written exam, a physical agility test, an interview panel, a polygraph test, various psychological evaluations, medical testing, a background check, and finally, a Police Commission Interview.
The new officer will be sworn in at the Lapham Community Center on Tuesday, Dec. 11 at 10 a.m. She will officially begin her recruit training on Friday, Dec. 14 at Milford Police Academy.
She has a tentative academy graduation date of July 2019. From there, she will complete 400 supervised hours of field training with New Canaan police before receiving her official Probationary Police Officer certification.
