NEW CANAAN, Conn. A New Canaan brother and sister are facing assault and disorderly conduct charges in connection with argument that turned physical early Saturday morning and involved a knife being brandished, police report.
Police arrested the two 17-year-olds charged each with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct, both misdemeanors. The girl was also charged with second-degree threatening, also a misdemeanor. Their names were not released because of their ages.
Police said the two started arguing at about 12:48 a.m. Saturday at an East Avenue residence, and the dispute eventually became physical. Police said they punched each other and the sister also kicked her brother and later grabbed a knife and threatened him.
Both were released and ordered to appear Tuesday in Stamford Juvenile Court.
