New Canaan Police Set Up 5K To Benefit Special Olympics

NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- The New Canaan Police Department is hoping residents will want to run with the law on May 7 as part of an inaugural 5K run to benefit the Connecticut Special Olympics and the Law Enforcement Torch Run.

The 5K run/walk course will weave through the trails at Waveny Park starting at 9 a.m. 

Registration will begin on race day at 8 a.m. at New Canaan High School near the flag pole. 

Early Registration is $25. Race Day Registration is $30. Kids 15 and under are $15. 

The Department hopes to raise $2,500 for Special Olympics and the torch run, which will take place on June 9.
