NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- A Smith Ridge Road man is facing a driving under the influence charge after turning himself over to police, according to the New Canaan Advertiser.

Pavel Tcheremnykh, 50, was ticketed on Oct. 22 in connection with a crash July 5, when he drove into a tree, according to the report. He was released after posting $250 bond and is to appear in court on Nov. 4, the report said.
