On Friday, a man got into a dispute with a parking official at 174 South Ave., upstairs from the police department, police said.
Officers were called to a "threatening incident" between the man and the parking department employee just before 2:30 p.m., police said. The cause and nature of the dispute weren't released by the police.
Steven Scott Novick, 50, of 87 North Wilton Road, was charged with breach of peace.
He was issued a misdemeanor summons to appear in court on May 19.
