NEW CANAAN, Conn. — Traffic was being diverted Tuesday afternoon at Elm and Weed streets in New Canaan after a tractor-trailer pulled down wires when making a turn, according to the New Canaan Advertiser.

The utility pole was leaning and considered dangerous, police told the Advertiser.

Eversource was not reporting any power outages in the area, which is near downtown New Canaan.
