Pierce Shortell, of Wallingford was arrested Friday, charged with first-degree larceny and held on $150,000 bond, Patch.com said.
The thefts were uncovered when discrepancies appeared in May that showed inventory and sales reports did not match, New Canaan police told Patch.
An investigation found that the discrepancies began just after Shortell was hired in 2016 and continued until he resigned this June, Patch said.
FedEx records showed that Shortell made many shipments to an Ohio address where Rolexes were being sold on eBay, Patch said.
The police investigation is continuing.
