AAA Honors New Canaan Police for Traffic Safety Achievements

NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- AAA Southern New England - CT honored the New Canaan Police Department during a recent ceremony with a Gold Award for the department’s outstanding traffic safety programs .

AAA lauded the department for initiatives like the active mature driver improvement program and the child passenger safety seat program.

In addition, AAA honored Officers Geoff Patten and Tom Lambert as department-nominated Traffic Safety Heroes for their work as child passenger safety technicians. In 2013 alone, the two installed a combined 237 seats for the New Canaan community.
