William Vincent Raymond, Sr., 93, Formerly Of New Canaan

BROOKFIELD, Conn. - William Vincent Raymond, Sr. of Brookfield died May 9. He was 93.

Raymond was born Nov. 7, 1919, in Norwalk, to Eva Rathgeb Raymond and Harold Higher Raymond. He graduated from Port Chester High School (NY) in 1936. Hel was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran. He was a builder and real estate broker, and managed his rental properties on Fire Island, N.Y. and in Greenwich. He raised his family in Port Chester/Rye Brook, New Canaan, Greenwich, and Fire Island, and most recently made his home in Brookfield,

Raymond is survived by his children, Pamela Raymond, Jean (Bob) Blaser, Kathy Nessen, Sherrill Given, Melissa Raymond, Bill (Angela) Raymond, Jr., Corey (Garrett) Anger, Michael (Amy) Raymond, Abigail (Bob) Crosby and John (Pascale) Raymond, MD.; 19 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and brother, Arthur Raymond of Malvern, N.Y. He was predeceased by his parents; and his wife, Jean Fehrs Raymond.

A funeral service will be held for Bill and Jean at 9:30 a.m. Aug. 10 at St. Sebastian Church, 155 Washington St., Middletown, immediately followed by interment at State Veterans Cemetery, 317 Bow Ln., Middletown.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Boy Scouts of America, Boys Town, Salvation Army or the American Legion.
