Moyer was born in 1931, and raised in Cairo, Egypt. She attended a Catholic school run by Irish nuns. After getting her diploma she began working as a multilingual secretary to ICI, then switched to Esso. In 1957 Esso moved her and her mother to Beirut, Lebanon, to work for the CFO of Esso Near East. She was transferred in 1960 with other Esso Near East staff to Geneva, Switzerland. She married and moved to New Canaan in 1963.
Moyer is survived by her husband, Peter Moyer of New Canaan; her sister, Nadia Agaman of Burbank, Calif.; her step-daughter, Susan Moyer of Spokane, Wash.; her son, Mark Moyer of New York; her daughter, Paula Moyer of Sudbury, Mass.; and five grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother, Joseph Kahil; and sister, Germaine Mourani.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, May 7 at 10 a.m. at St. Aloysius Church, Cherry St. New Canaan, CT 06840. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, New Canaan.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 279 New Britain Rd., Kensington, CT 06037.
