NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- John A. Gesualdi of New Canaan passed away Wednesday, March 4, at Regency Heights of Stamford. He was 91.
Gesualdi was born Nov. 20, 1923, in New Canaan to the late John and Mary Rainone Gesualdi.
A lifelong resident of New Canaan, Gesualdi was educated through the New Canaan school system.
For many years until he retired, he worked as a plumbing and heating contractor.
Gesualdi belonged to the Piedmont Association and various veterans groups in the area.
He is survived by one son, John P. Gesualdi (Lisa Bello) of New Canaan; and one daughter, Lorraine Carbone (Anthony) of New Rochelle, N.Y. Also surviving John are his two grandsons, Anthony and Paul Carbone; and his brother Vito Gesualdi of Bethel. John was predeceased by his two sisters, Connie and Elizabeth.
The family will receive friends at Hoyt Funeral Home Friday, March 6, from 4-8 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Aloysius Church in New Canaan on Saturday, March 7, at 10 a.m.
Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery in Darien.
