Domenico Palladino, 77, Longtime New Canaan Resident

NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- Longtime New Canaan resident Domenico Palladino died on Wednesday, Feb. 3. He was 77.

Born in Italy, Palladino founded D. Palladino & Son Septic Co. and tirelessly worked toward the American Dream. He was passionate about his profession and enjoyed working with his customers.

He loved spending time with his family, playing Italian cards, making wine, playing the accordion, making people laugh and dancing with his wife.

Palladino is survived by his wife of 57 years, Giulietta Bianco Palladino; children Maria Arduini and her husband Sebastian of Fairfield, Linda Baker and her husband Ken of Trumbull, Ralph Palladino and his wife Toni of New Canaan; brothers Lorenzo, Dario and Frank, all of New Canaan; sisters Lena Pacitti and Maria Sinagoga of Canada and Clara DeMario of France; and grandchildren Michael, Christina, Lauren, Ashley, Elisabeth, Julia, Megan, Dominick B., Domenic P. and Nicole.

He was predeceased by his parents, Raffaele and Maria Assunta Palladino; and sister Rosina Palladino.

Calling hours will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 7, at the Hoyt Funeral Home, 199 Main St., in New Canaan. A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 8, at St. Aloysius Church, 21 Cherry St., New Canaan. Entombment will directly follow, at Lakeview Cemetery.
