Camilla Tosone, 79, New Canaan Food Service Worker

NEW CANAAN, Conn. – Camilla Tosone, a resident of New Canaan for the last 10 years, died July 12 at Norwalk Hospital surrounded by family. She was 79. 

Tosone was born in San Mango Sul Calore, Italy to Saverio and Rosina Boccuzzi. She spent her career in food service working for IBM Corporation and Champion International. She enjoyed baking and spending time with her grandchildren. Tosone previously lived in Stamford before moving to New Canaan. 

She is survived by a son, John Tosone, of New Canaan; two daughters, Rosanna (Michael Jr.) DiPanni, of New Canaan and Teresa (John) Sibilia, of Stamford; two brothers, Teodoro (Virginia) Boccuzzi and Pasquale Boccuzzi, both of Stamford; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Raffaele Tosone; a sister, Yolanda Lupo; and a sister-in-law, Marge Boccuzzi. 

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Church in Stamford. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery in Stamford. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hoyt Funeral Home in New Canaan. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the New Canaan Volunteer Ambulance Corps, 180 South Ave., New Canaan, CT 06840, or Stamford Hospital Foundation, 30 Shelburne Road, Stamford, CT 06904.
