Friday, May 18New Canaan High School Girls Lacrosse: 4 p.m. The undefeated Rams will host the Danbury Hatters in a Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference playoff game at Dunning Stadium.
Saturday, May 19
Door to The Other World Local History Research: 10 a.m. to noon. Join this New Canaan Library group as it visits the New Canaan Historical Society to learn about places in town that have shown possible paranormal activity.
New Canaan Farmers Market: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Visit with vendors selling farm fresh foods, soaps, crafts and other treats at the Center School Parking Lot at Maple and Main streets. The Farmers Market is open every Saturday rain or shine through Nov. 17.
Sunday, May 20Artist and photographer Karin Hillmer at New Canaan Library: 5 p.m. Karin Hillmer has published a book of photographs inspired by the short stories of Argentine writer Jorge Luis Borges. The concept and experience of time have long been important to Hillmer, which led her to explore the works of Borges. She was inspired to create photographs that explore the concepts of time and infinity in the context of dreams and reality. Infinity & Dreams features 45 high-quality color plates of Hillmers photographs and inspirational text from Borges for each image.
