Tree Work Slated To Take Place In New Canaan This Spring

NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- Some 66 miles of New Canaan roads will undergo tree work this spring and summer by Eversource power company to help reduce the frequency of power outages in the city, according to the NCAdvertiser.

Roads scheduled for work include Valley Road, Smith Ridge Road, Michigan Road, Canoe Hill Road, Brookwood Lane, Ferris Hill Road, Laurel Road and Route 123, said the NCAdvertiser.

The company has 17,000 miles of overhead wires in the state and tries to complete 4,000 miles of work each year, said the NCAdvertiser. Residents who have questions about the work should contact New Canaan Tree Warden Bob Horan at TreeWarden@newcanaanct.gov or 203-594-3107, added NCAdvertiser.
