NEW CANAAN, Conn. A 17-year-old boy accused of firing a BB gun from a building and hitting a passing bicyclist has been charged by New Canaan Police.
The 17-year-old, whose name was not released, was given a summons Saturday for reckless endangerment. Two boys, a 15-year-old and a 14-year-old, were riding their bikes on Park Street at about 3:13 p.m. when one of the older boy felt a pain in his back. Police said a BB was found just under his skin. Police said the 17-year-old fired a shot with an Airsoft gun from a building on Park Street. Police said the boy told them he was not aiming at any person. He was ordered to appear next Wednesday in Norwalk Superior Court.

? Avery Underwood, 19, of Weed Street, appeared in Norwalk Superior Court on Tuesday of charges of serving alcohol to minors during a house party.
Police charged Underwood on Aug. 22 with second-degree forgery and delivery of alcohol to a minor. Her mother, Lori Underwood, 47, was given a summons for failure to halt possession of alcohol by a minor. Police were called to the Underwood home at 11:16 p.m. Aug. 22 after receiving a noise complaint. When officers arrived, they saw young people running from the home and into adjacent properties and found a large amount of bottles and cans of beer in the area, on the rear deck and on tables. As many as 60 people were present at the peak of the party, police said.
Police said Avery Underwood admitted providing the alcohol and was able to purchase it by using a fake identification card. Police found Lori Underwood in a closet after Avery told her mother to hide. Avery Underwood was released on $250 bond and is scheduled to return to Norwalk Court on Sept. 20.
? Police are investigating fraudulent purchases made on accounts belonging to a 57-year-old White Birch Road woman. Police said the woman discovered on June 17 an unauthorized purchase of $25.40 on a check card at a Pier One store in Danbury and a $2,648 purchase for a laptop computer at another store using her credit card.
? Police are investigating the theft of 37 bottles of wine from a Husted Lane home. Police said the 59-year-old male occupant reported that the bottles of wine, valued at almost $2,900, were taken sometime between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Sept. 1. Police found no signs of forced entry.
? Police are investigating the theft of a mans wallet from the Waveny Park Pool. Police said a 34-year-old man left the wallet in a bag on the pool deck when he went swimming with his children last Saturday between 1:30 and 3 p.m. Police said the man thought he had misplaced the wallet, but received a call from American Express alerting him that someone had attempted to use his card at an Old Navy clothing store and a Kmart in the Bronx. Police said the black leather wallet included debit and credit cards, a drivers license and $60 in cash.
