Takeout Order Stolen From Car

Police are hunting a hungry vandal who broke into a parked car and made off with an order of Chinese food. They said someone threw a rock through the passenger side window of a Toyota Prius on Saturday evening in the municipal lot on Park Street. The car's owner, a 44-year-old Chicago man, had left the food he ordered from Ching's Table, 64 Main St., in the car and found his window smashed and food missing when he returned less than 10 minutes later. The man had paid about $35 for his order, police said. The thief of the crime will be charged with larceny and criminal mischief, police said.
