A Stamford man was arrested Tuesday on charges of breaking into cars near Waveny Park in New Canaan, police reported.
New Canaan Police arrested 41-year-old Louis Gonzalez on a warrant in Norwalk Superior Court. Gonzalez, who lives on Bedford Street in Stamford, was charged with four counts of third-degree burglary, two counts of fourth-degree larceny, two counts of sixth-degree larceny, 20 counts of credit card theft and four counts of criminal mischief. Gonzalez was arrested in April for a string of burglaries in Darien and Stamford.
Police said Gonzalez was involved in breaking into vehicles in and around Waveny Park between April 3 and April 9. Gonzalez appeared in court Tuesday and was being held on a $60,000 bond.
