The bells at New Canaan Public Schools will ring again soon, and students will board the buses for classes starting Aug. 31. The first school holidays pop up the next week: Schools will be closed Sept. 6 and Sept. 9. Here's a look at the upcoming school holidays:
Monday, Sept. 6: Labor Day
Thursday, Sept. 9: Rosh Hashanah
Monday, Oct. 11: Columbus Day
Tuesday, Nov. 2: Election Day / professional learning
Wednesday, Nov. 23: Half day
Thursday and Friday, Nov. 24 and 25: Thanksgiving vacation
