Rough Go On The Roads In Fairfield County On Friday

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- An accident at 4:30 p.m. on the northbound Merritt Parkway between exits 36 and 37 in New Canaan slowed the Friday afternoon commute.

The two-vehicle accident closed the left lane. There was no estimated duration on how long it would take to remove the wreckage, according to the Connecticut Department of Transportation.

Traffic was also slow on Interstate 95 northbound from Stamford to Bridgeport, although no accidents were reported as of 4:45 p.m.
