Rollover Crash Cleared From Merritt Parkway In New Canaan

update: NEW CANAAN, Conn. — The crash scene has been cleared on the northbound Merritt Parkway, although some traffic delays were still reported just after 12:30 p.m. Friday.

original story: NEW CANAAN, Conn. — The Merritt Parkway is closed due to rollover car crash on the northbound side near the New Canaan/Stamford border, according to the state Department of Transportation.

The accident is on the northbound Merritt between Exit 35 for Route 137/High Ridge Road and Exit 36 for Route 106.

Traffic is backed up to Exit 33 for Den Road, DOT said

The roadway is congested with stopped traffic as police and emergency responders work at the scene.

Motorists should expect delays of up to one hour or more.
