At approximately 9:38 a.m. on Tuesday, June 26, police responded to the residence to check on the welfare of an occupant of that dwelling after receiving a third party call.
Upon making entry into the home, officers located the individual and summoned New Canaan Volunteer Ambulance Corps to respond to attempt to provide aid to the individual.
The attempts to revive the individual were not successful and the individual was pronounced by a medic from Norwalk Hospital, police said.
New Canaan Police said the incident is isolated and no issue of public safety exists.
No further information regarding the incident or the identity of the person was immediately released.
