More than 4 miles of northbound delays continue between Exits 34 and 37. Heavy southbound delays of 14 miles from Exits 44 to 36 were reported as well.
original story: NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- The Merritt Parkway northbound is closed between Exits 36 and 37 because of a three-vehicle crash on Wednesday morning, the Connecticut Department of Transportation reported.
The crash was reported at 7:45 a.m., DOT said.
Congestion with stop-and-go traffic is reported in both directions in the area, DOT said.
