New Canaan's Waveny Pool Getting Heaters

NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- Forget the chilly dips in the Waveny pool: The New Canaan Town Council has spending $131,000 on heaters for the pool to make it more usable during the cooler months, according to the New Canaan Advertiser.

The vote was made after a request from the Park and Recreation Commission’s, saying heaters would greatly enhance the usability of the pool, said the Advertiser.

During the meeting, Councilman Christa Kenin urged fellow council members to vote in favor of the heaters, saying the pool was not a generic facility, that it brought a lot of people joy, reported the Advertiser.
