Nydia Carrillo-Maldonado, 34, owner of Stamford’s Little Bears Beginnings Daycare,  is charged with manslaughter in the July 12 death of Bella Redondo.

Katy and Fernando Redondo and their two other daughters and son are benefitting from the support of family and friends and are relieved an arrest has been made, their lawyer, Mark Sherman, told the Advertiser.

Bella suffered a blunt-force trauma to the head at the daycare and died hours later at Stamford Hospital, police said.

A GoFundMe account has been set up to help the family cover funeral costs and lost wages after the tragedy.
