New Canaan Library To Host Latin American Outlook Presentation

STAMFORD, Conn. -- The New Canaan Library is set to host "The Economic Outlook for Mexico and Latin America" Tuesday as the first Great Discussions event of the season.

José Rasco, a senior investment strategist at HSBC Private Bank is set to speak at the World Affairs Forum and Great Decisions presentation, according to a press release. The free event starts at 7 p.m. at the New Canaan Library Lamb Room, 151 Main St., according to the release. 

Rasco has "served the financial community for almost 25 years," according to the release.

"Most recently, he served as a senior investment strategist at Merrill Lynch, working directly with the chief investment strategist," representatives said in the release. "His responsibilities included the creation of investment and asset allocation strategies, working with the CIS and the global economic and strategy teams."

"Great Decisions is a program created by the Foreign Policy Association, which publishes a book each year to accompany the series. These books are for sale at each event," representatives said in the release. "We are grateful to the New Canaan Library for providing refreshments and to HSBC for their general sponsorship of this fall's Great Decisions series."
