New Canaan Building Official Brian Platz received a letter objecting to the demolition of the antique structure on the property on Wednesday.

A joint working committee, informally called the 8 Ferris Hill Group, formed of representatives and members of the New Canaan Preservation Alliance and the New Canaan Historical Society, and others concerned with saving the property, are working with the Connecticut Trust for Historic Preservation to save the antique home on the property.
