NEW CANAAN, Conn. A Valley Road man accused of having drugs and drug paraphernalia in his car during a June vehicle wreck is facing several drug charges.
Marcus G. Conway, 22, was charged last Monday by New Canaan police with possession of marijuana, illegal manufacture, distribution, sale, prescription and dispensing, possession of marijuana within 1,500 feet of a school, possession of drug paraphernalia within 1,500 feet of a school and reckless driving.
Police said Conway crashed his 2002 Subaru four-door sedan at about 3:30 p.m. June 2 on Old Stamford Road near Farm Road. Police said he failed to negotiate a curve and almost hit another driver when he went off the road and into an embankment. Conway was taken to Norwalk Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Police said they found a marijuana pipe on the drivers side of the car and smelled marijuana throughout the cars interior. Police took the vehicle to a service station and searched it the next day, finding marijuana, a second marijuana pipe, small plastic bags and large heat-shrink wrapped bags. Police also found a white plastic bucket with marijuana, heat saver bags, a glass jar with more bags, more marijuana, another plastic container with a small amount of marijuana and a black zipper bag with a scale and small plastic bags buried in mud.
Conway turned himself in last Monday. He was released on $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear Aug. 22 in Norwalk Superior Court.

Several of the people at the party ran into the woods after police arrived. Police said they found beer and vodka on the premises. The boys name was not released because he is a youthful offender.

Police arrested Fisher in Westport, where police were holding him in another incident. Fisher posted $2,000 bond and is scheduled to appear Aug. 23 in Norwalk Superior Court.
