NEW CANAAN, Conn. A two-and-a-half-story home was completely destroyed by fire midday Sunday, but three residents and two dogs safely escaped the blaze.
The two-alarm fire occurred at 43 Fawn Lane, near the Wilton border. The house was deemed a total loss, according to New Canaan firefighters.
The New Canaan Fire Department, battling the blaze in the four-bedroom home in the bitter cold, requested tanker help from nearby Wilton. The fire was reported at about 11:30 a.m. Sunday.
