NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- Here are some of the stories that topped the news in New Canaan last week:
- A member of the West Haven City Council resigned from his position after he pleaded guilty and admitted embezzling $106,028 while he worked as a personal banker at a JPMorgan Chase branch in New Canaan.
- A Norwalk man was killed after he lost control of his car and was ejected in a one-car crash on Route 7 near the interchange with Interstate 95 in Norwalk, Connecticut State Police said.
- New Canaan Police are looking for a man who they say passed counterfeit money at a town business.
- Two employees at a Norwalk gas station located at 126 Connecticut Ave. were robbed at gunpoint and police are seeking the public's help in identifying the suspects.
