Simon and Brickell, who have been married for 22 years, were each charged with disorderly conduct after a domestic dispute at their New Canaan home that resulted in a 911 call in April.
When authorities arrived at the home, the dispute appeared to have been settled, but both Simon, 72, and Brickell, 47, had sustained minor injuries.
The two made their first appearance in court in April and said the dispute had been resolved.
The case has officially been nollied, which means the charges will be dropped, but the prosecutor retains the right to reopen the case within the next 13 months, FoxCT said.
Simon is half of the legendary duo, Simon and Garfunkel who went on to further solo success. Brickell is also a noted musician, though her only commercial success came in 1988 with the song "What I Am" as the front person for Edie Brickell & New Bohemians.
Simon and Brickell live together in New Canaan and have three children.
