The Congregational Church of New Canaan, located at 23 Park St. at the top of God’s Acre, is inviting anyone who wishes to participate.

The vigil will "recognize the brokenness and heartache that we feel with the tragedy and violence that has befallen the folks in Las Vegas," the post said. It's also "about the folks in Puerto Rico and Texas and Florida and so many places in the world that are broken."

The Facebook Live message said, "When we don't have words, scripture offers us words. So tonight we are going to ..... band together, pray together, sing together, grieve together and hope together."
