New Canaan Housing Authority Chairman Scott Hobbs said the construction of the 30 units will earn the town a four-year moratorium from the state’s 8-30g law, which allows developers to build affordable housing without being restricted by local zoning laws when less than 10 percent of the town's housing is deemed affordable, said the NCAdvertiser.
The housing units should be completed by the end of the year, added the NCAdvertiser.
