NEW CANAAN, Conn. Could New Canaan produce the next reality television star? A film company planning to shoot a Wall Street-related reality TV show is looking for a few finance-savvy New Canaan residents to put their lives in front of the cameras.
The company is advertising a casting call Wednesday in New Canaan. A similar casting call was scheduled for Tuesday in New York City, though an advertisement posted on Elm Street did not list addresses for the auditions.
The advertisement seeks unemployed Wall Street professionals for a unique mission-oriented project and reality television show. Specifically, the ad seeks men between 25 and 60 who lost a job between 2008 and 2011 in the financial services industry in New York City or the greater New York area in any area of finance, such as investment banking, trading, hedge funds, private equity, venture capital and real estate. The ad also asks for lawyers from Wall Street-oriented law firms.
Candidates are also asked whether they have suffered any other type of loss, including financial, home, health or marriage.
The only contact listed on the ad was a casting director named Scott Henry. Emails to Henry on Tuesday afternoon were not returned to The Daily New Canaan.
