Patrick Dempsey Taking Star Turn At New Canaan Classic Car Show

NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- "Grey's Anatomy" star and Porsche racer Patrick Dempsey will appear at the New Canaan Historical Society's 125th anniversary gala at Collectors Car Garage in Bedford Hills on Sept. 12.

The gala at the self-proclaimed country club for car aficionados will follow a "Fuel Up" breakfast at Miller Motorcars in Stamford and a tour of the garages of area collectors. Guests will receive maps and a visiting order to limit the number of guests at any "pit stop" to 20 at a time.

Dempsey will be featured and interviewed by emcee and NBC Formula One announcer David Hobbs at the event. The gala will also feature cocktails, dinner and a live auction among a collection of vintage, exotic and unique cars.

Tickets range from $500 to $25,000, and the RSVP deadline is Aug. 26. For more information, visit nchistory.org.
