Eliza Posner and Chloe Kekedjian will debate two Chinese high school students who are touring the United States with the National High School Debate League of China.
In partnership with the National High School Debate League of China, Asia Society will host an exhibition debate round on Feb. 16, at 6:30 p.m. between four top Chinese and American high school debaters.
The students will debate the trade-off between development and environment, followed by a panel discussion and audience Q&A on how debate has transformed their lives.
Joining the students on the panel discussion are Arthur Ross, director of Asia Society’s Center on U.S.-China Relations; David Weeks, co-founder of the NHSDLC; and other members of the American and Chinese debate community.
