The tours will be every Tuesday and Wednesday throughout September and on Oct 1. Those who participate may spend up to 45 minutes in each restaurant, and will only have to walk about five minutes total.
Cost is $55 per person, including tax and gratuity. Beverages will not be included in the price, but can be purchased at each location.
Advance tickets may be purchased online through CT Bites Invites, one of the partners of the Taste Tours. The other partner is New Canaan Chamber of Commerce.
Each Tour is limited to 12 attendees to insure both superior quality in food and service, and advance purchase is required so please make sure you book early.
The tour begins at Barolo Wine Bar & Trattoria, where Melanzana will be served. It is stuffed eggplant filled with sheep ricotta mousse, and an orange bay-leaf tomato sauce. The course will be served at the antipasto bar.
The next stop, only a few steps away, is Boulevard 18. The serving here will be a French classic, Coq au Vin, over fresh pasta.
Finally, tour-goers will go to Cava Wine Bar & Restaurant for three desserts – dark chocolate cake with raspberry sauce, lemon tart with orange sauce and lavender sorbet.
Some of the dishes may change due to what fresh market produce is available.
