NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- Experts will teach kids and parents how to build resilience in "a world of booze, bongs, and benzos" Wednesday, Feb. 8 at New Canaan Town Hall.
Families will learn ways to prevent teen drinking and use/abuse of drugs, including ADHD medications and mixing prescription benzodiazepines like Xanax and Valium.
Resilience is one of the strongest tools against depression, abuse, and addiction, according to the experts.
A panel will give practical strategies.
