New Canaan Chamber Says Thanks for Sidewalk Sales

NEW CANAAN, Conn. — The following is a letter from Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Tucker Murphy.

This past Saturday was a scorcher, but it didn’t keep people from coming downtown to the Chamber of Commerce's 46th annual Village Fair and Sidewalk Sales. The streets were filled with merchants and vendors while the shoppers sifted through the racks and boxes of bargains. There was plenty of entertainment to go around from magicians to musicians, face painting to surfing and tasty treats to top it off.

The chamber would like to thank the following organizations for all their help in making the day such a success: the Outback Teen Center, the New Canaan Public Works Department, the New Canaan Police Department, the New Canaan Fire Company, the New Canaan Health Department, the New Canaan Volunteer Ambulance Corps, our very own New Canaan Town Band, People’s United Bank, L’Armoire, Karl Chevrolet, Pennyweights, the National Charity League Canaan Parish Chapter, NuRenu Brand marketing, Cybersidewalks, Keith Simpson, iBlast and, of course, the Board of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce.

Finally, thank you New Canaan for supporting your local merchants!
